What is LGBT Novel?
LGBT Novel is an editorial reference site for queer fiction readers and writers. The primary work is the trope encyclopedia —structured entries on MM and LGBT romance patterns, from Enemies to Lovers and Slow Burn to Found Family and beyond.
Supporting sections include:
- Reading guides — concept hubs and craft notes
- Insights — selective reviews and publishing commentary
- Editor’s picks & book lists — verified closed-door titles when a clear editorial fit exists
Why this site exists
Queer-fiction discovery online tends toward algorithm noise on one side and spoiler-heavy fan wikis on the other. LGBT Novel fills the gap with durable reference content: trope definitions, reader expectations, and craft context that remain useful after trends move on.
Book lists and retailer links are secondary. The encyclopedia and guides are the product.
Editorial independence
When we recommend a title or series, we state who it is for, where to start, and what boundaries to expect. Affiliate commissions do not determine inclusion. See our disclaimer .
Who runs the site
Curated by Sebastian Hart and contributors with backgrounds in queer fiction craft, KDP publishing, and reader-community analysis. The focus is structurally clear LGBT storytelling—not keyword-stuffed recommendation lists.
